Oman- The Royal Hospital performs rare surgery


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- For the first time in the sultanate, The Royal Hospital recently used endoscopy on a patient suffering from prolapsed uterus.

A team headed by Dr Abdul Rahman al Farsi, senior consultant of obstetrics and gynaecology, in collaboration with anaesthesiologists and nursing staff performed the medical intervention, stated a press release.

Dr Farsi pointed out that such a medical intervention has many advantages, most importantly avoiding hysterectomy and reducing back pain.

The procedure also has minimum side effects as compared to other surgical procedures and involves shorter hospital stay and faster recovery.

The patient praised and thanked the medical team for relieving her from repeated pains in the back and abdomen, as well as for the stability of her health condition.
