Egypt, France sign USD 400 mln agreements


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- French President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi said Tuesday his talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron resulted in signing USD 400 million worth of agreements and memoranda of understanding in different domains.

Al-Sisi, at a joint news conference with Macron, said they discussed the conditions in Libya, Syria and Palestinian conciliation.

He said he agreed with Macron on boosting economic and military cooperation. He added he talked about the economic reforms in Egypt.

Al-Sisi called for increasing international counter-terrorism cooperation.

Macron said he underlined to Al-Sisi France's support to the economic reforms, specially in energy sector.

He said the agreements would promote cooperation in transport, energy and renewable energy. (end) mjz.bs
