(MENAFN) Netflix is adding additional 1.6b USD from investors to fund new shows and potentially make acquisitions.
The company intends to spend 8b USD on shows and movies in 2019 to compete with stronger opponents, as it will be releasing 80 movies.
For the first time since 2015, Netflix said it will increase costs in the US, the UK and other countries.
The company's share has increased over 50% in 2017, due to subscriber growth that was better than expected, as it currently has over 109m subscribers over the world, which adds 15.5m till this point in this year.
