ABU DHABI, 23rd October, 2017 (WAM) -- The Ministry of Defence's second edition of "The Leaders Conference: War in the 21st Century", held under the patronage of the Vice President, Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Defence, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, concluded today.
Senior national and regional officials, and prominent experts and scholars specialising in military sciences and strategic thought attended the two-day conference.
This morning, the Rabdan Academy held a series of workshops based on the outputs and recommendations of the conference's first day of proceedings. Workshop participants discussed a range of themes and actions to be taken in response to emerging threats.
During the event, the Ministry of Defence highlighted the challenges posed by developments in contemporary warfare and the need for increasing strategic knowledge on the nature of modern and future conflicts.
"The Leaders Conference: War in the 21st Century" provided a valuable opportunity to prepare for expected challenges by providing the latest insights on rapidly evolving trends on the nature of conflicts and the impact of emerging threats on the strategic security environment.
