Nile Rodgers, Tusk USA and Space for Giants team up to help save elephants. Brooklyn Bowl, November 2, 2017 Tusk USA, whose mission is to advance innovation to protect Africa's wildlife and natural habitat, and Space for Giants whose mission is to protect African elephants and their habitats through new conservation models providing anti-poaching, economic and political solutions, are delighted to join forces on this event.
Funds generated by the concert will be invested in initiatives aimed at ensuring that Africa continues to maintain diverse populations of large mammals, including elephants, and the healthy habitats on which they rely. Ending the illegal wildlife trade and poaching crisis, providing alternative and sustainable livelihoods, and implementing management strategies to mitigate human-wildlife conflict are all critical components of the holistic strategies of both organizations. These solutions allow wildlife and people to co-exist and give biodiversity in Africa a fighting chance.
Tusk USA and Space for Giants are working towards an Africa where wildlife is no longer threatened and both humans and wildlife coexist and thrive alongside each other. But if we fail to act now we may lose the most precious and iconic species forever. Together we can make a difference.
