Honda in Qatar, has announced the launch of the all-new 2018 Honda
Odyssey.
With over 2.7mn units sold across four generations, the Odyssey is 'one
of the most popular MPVs around the world, according to a press
statement.

The exterior of the Odyssey has been redesigned to 'portray
sophisticated and modern new styling that incorporates a signature
flying wing front grille with halogen headlights (in LX and EX-L) and
LED headlights (in Touring) with Auto On-Off timer, making it
energy-efficient. Taillights with integrated LED light bars (standard in
all grades) enhance its sporty and dynamic profile.
The Odyssey can 'easily accommodate up to eight passengers and a
multitude of cargo in different shapes and sizes, the statement notes.
With the centre seat removed, the Magic Slide second-row seats can move
to the centre and forward allowing for convenient access to the third
row. The second-row Magic Slide seats can be customised into four
different positions: Full, Wide, Super and Buddy modes.
The Odyssey boasts of a new and soft touch instrument panel, which
includes a full-colour and an interactive 8-inch Display Audio Touch
Screen, Stop Start button, Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Hold
function, ventilated seats and a new push button gear selector. In
addition, there is a new 7-inch Digital Driver Information Interface
with direct sight to the driver.
The Odyssey offers the latest features in technology and connectivity.
Some of the features on the Touring grade include an 8-inch Display
Audio Touchscreen, Honda CabinWatch, Honda CabinTalk, Rear Entertainment
System, Premium Audio System, Wireless Charging and Multi-Angle
Rear-view Camera with Dynamic Guidelines.
The MPV is also equipped with Active and Passive Safety specs such as
the Advanced Compatibility Engineering Body Structure, Multilink Rear
Suspension, a low centre of gravity chassis with revised damper and
steering geometry settings, Dual Pinion Steering and Variable Gear
Ratio, Dual Stage Multiple Threshold Front Airbags, Front Side Airbags,
Three Row Side Curtain Airbags, Drivers and Front Passengers Knee
Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist with Traction Control Systems,
Anti-Lock Brake Systems, Electronic Brake Distributor, Agile Handling
Assist, Tire Pressure Monitor System and Hill Start Assist.
Powering the 2018 Odyssey is a 3.5-litre direct injected i-VTEC 24-valve
SOHC V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management. This engine is mated
to an all-new front wheel drive 10-speed automatic transmission with
Shift-By-Wire and Paddle Shifters producing ,000rpm and a torque
of ,700rpm.
The Touring grade is equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of safety and
driver-assistive technologies designed to alert motorists to things
they might miss while driving.
