Qatar- 2,626 tests conducted on different materials

The Central Laboratory Department of Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology conducted in the third quarter of 2017 (2,626) tests on (1,936) samples of building materials, electrical appliances, oil pumps, scales, thermometers and other materials.

The Department said in a report that the gold samples which were examined and stamped weighed 2.06 tons, those of silver were 0.244 tons.

The Department underlined that the examination of gold and silver samples affirms the supervisory role that it performs in the process of checking, stamping and analyzing these types of metals and precious stones and their conformity with technical specifications in accordance with the applicable regulations and regulations.

The Central Laboratory Department is also keen on attracting experts, specialists and technicians in the various fields of testing, such as checking and stamping precious metals, tests of construction materials, electrical appliances, scales, oil pumps and others.
