Oman- Multiple entry visa holders can stay up to a month instead of three weeks: ROP

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The ROP has made amendment to the Expatriate Residency Law allowing people on multiple entry visas to stay in the country for a month instead of three weeks at a time.

The ROP issued a decision (No 204/2017) in reference to Royal Decree 16/95, which promulgates the Expatriate Residency Law, and the executive regulations for Expatriate Residency Law (No 63/96).

The decision was issued to amend two points in the previous decision. First, changing the context of sub-article 1 in Article 2 regarding adding Sohar Airport along with Muscat airport and Salalah Airport as points of international arrivals and exits.

The second change has been made in Article 10, which relates to one-year multiple entry tourist visa. The amended article states that the visa will be granted by the competent authority to anyone wishing to enter Oman for tourism purposes. The visa will be valid for a period of one month for each stay. The earlier rule allowed the multiple entry visa holder to stay for a period not exceeding three weeks at a time.

The visa is valid for three months from the date of issue and costs RO50.
