AMMAN —AlGhad— State Minister for Media Affairs and government spokesperson Mohammad Momani welcomed the announcement of Raqqa's full liberation in a statement he made earlier today, Sunday, describing it as humanity's triumph over terrorism and extremism. 'A triumph of good over evil is another phrase the minister used.
Meanwhile, sustaining this triumph requires the generalisation of the ceasefire in Syria and the expedition of the political process, Momani underlined.
The minister called for the reincorporation of Security Council resolution number 2254 of the year 2015, to give a framework to the Syrian process.
Humanity has once again united against one of the world's power terrible terrorist groups, he said, but this is just the first step, to what the minister has highlighted.
The political process must push for the maintenance of Syrian unity and sovereignty as well as the realisation of the Syrian people's aspiration, he said.
Otherwise, the fight against terrorism in Syria will have no grounds to further a sustainable solution to ensure the threat of terrorism does not resurge.
