Another registration point will be open during the next week at the Gulf Mall.
Head of Ports Unit of the Ministry's Reserves and Wildlife Department Mohammed Rashid Al Sah said that new services of this year's camping season include handing camps' plates directly after registration and payment of security deposit.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said that the registration for winter camping season 2017-18 started yesterday and will continue until December 31.
The Supervisory Committee has set up a comprehensive awareness plan for campers to preserve the environment and wildlife at land and sea camping sites, and to comply with all requirements laid down in order to maintain the security and safety of the camps.
This year's camping season, which starts on November 1 and ends on April 31, will provide various services in different camping areas in the country, which will contribute to facilitating the camping process, especially that the electronic payment system has been developed and different places were provided in the commercial complexes for registration.
He pointed out that registration for camping requires only a personal ID card and payment of the security deposit. He added that the telephone number used for registration should belong to the applicant to facilitate the communication process.
