(MENAFN) Since it is a candidate to be a part of the EU, Turkey will be getting a 4.5b Euros (5.3b USD) aid in 2014-2020 from the EU.
The aid is intended to elevate public organizations of Turkey to meet with EU standards, in addition to an aid for agriculture, education, training and infrastructure.
The money that the EU gave to Turkey for the millions of refugees is completely irrelevant to this aid.
The EU said: "We have promised 3bn euros for the coming years in addition to the 3bn that we have already committed. We need to deliver on this promise."
