Jeddah, Safar 01, 1439, October 21, 2017, SPA -- General Secretariat of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the liberation of the Syrian city of Raqqa from the grip of " Daesh " terrorist organization.
It stressed the importance of concerted efforts at all levels to combat terrorism, which had become a serious threat to international peace and security, reaffirming its position condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
The OIC reiterated its firm position in supporting the peaceful efforts aimed at resolving the Syrian crisis in accordance with the international reference agreed in the Geneva Declaration 1 and the relevant UN resolutions which stipulated the need to preserve the territorial integrity of Syria.
