(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The sixth Family Cohesion Seminar titled, 'Woman and Family Economy' was held at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Cultural and Entertainment Complex in Salalah.
Organised by the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD), the seminar was attended by H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Said bin Saif al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development and a number of dignitaries and officials.
The seminar aimed to strengthen the system of protection and economic empowerment of families and encourage them to carry out economic projects, in addition to benefiting from the facilities provided by the supporting bodies and entrepreneurs and those planning to prepare projects.
It also recommended the importance of developing apt mechanisms to market the products of families and craftsmen in local market and continue developing training programmes, especially social security families.
The seminar also recommended exchange of experiences and expertise between committees of social development.
