Int'l forum on Baitul Maqdis concludes in Istanbul
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- The ninth international forum on the Palestinian residents of Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem) concluded in Istanbul on Saturday.
The two-day event, themed "valiant people and giving nation," gathered more than 600 Muslim scholars from 30 countries.
The conferees stated in the final communique of the gathering their firm opposition to Israel's acquisition of Arab land in the holy city including the sale of property of the Arab Church in the city.
They lauded the stance of archbishop Atallah Hanna and other residents in the city who refused the Israeli designs and blackmailing attempts in this regard. (end) ta.gb
