(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) has requested the Ministry of Health to exempt its students from the new health charges — the students, who are on government scholarships, reports Al-Anba daily.
The request has been forwarded by Director of PAAET Dr Ahmad Al-Athari to the Undersecretary of Ministry of Health based on cultural agreements that have been signed between Kuwait and the countries from where these students have come. The sources mentioned the Ministry of Health will meet with PAAET to discuss the issue.
Meanwhile, the committee that was formed to review the withdrawal of citizenships from some people said there are 90 files which the committee has yet to discuss, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a government source.
The source noted inaccurate information has been published with regard to the work of committee. However, the same source said, these files will be looked into very soon. The source added, the committee does not work under any pressure, but in accordance with the guidelines so that everyone's right is protected. The source said a small number of files are considered to be legally settled, but the vast majority of files need to be checked and searched and it will take a long time.
