(BOSTON, MA) [October 18, 2017] – Getaway, the wellness company founded by a pair of Harvard graduates that designs and builds tiny houses, places them in nature and rents them by the night to people looking to disconnect and recharge, today announced that due to overwhelming interest, 21 additional tiny houses will be added to their 40-acre site in the quiet woods of Southern New Hampshire. Those needing an escape can book their cabins now for stays beginning in late October, with rates starting at $125.
The expansion was sparked upon learning that one in five Americans say they 'never fully relax' on vacation1 and that Boston ranked fifth on the list cities with the most unused vacation2. "Getaway isn't about the tiny houses or the woods, but rather providing people with the opportunity to take time away from the stress, technology and hustle of daily life,' said Getaway Founder and CEO Jon Staff. 'Boston will always have a special place in our hearts as the company was founded here and we're pleased to announce the increased capacity of cabins, which allows guests to book more frequently making these escapes part of their wellness routine.'
To preserve the spontaneity, the exact location of the cabins is revealed after booking. Guests can choose from a fully-outfitted two-person or four-person cabin equipped with kitchen supplies, a stove top, mini-fridge, shower, toilet, fire pit and a queen bed for a good night's rest. Each house also comes with a fire pit, picnic table and Adirondack chairs.
Getaway now serves three major cities—Boston, New York, and, beginning in October 2017, Washington DC, and will continue to increase capacity in additional markets in early 2018. For more information, please visit www.getaway.house.
