Saudi- Council of Arab Ministers for Environment Starts 29th session in Cairo

Cairo, 29 Muharram 1439 H corresponding to 19 October--The Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environment started its 29th session here today with the participation of ministers responsible for environmental affairs and Arab governmental delegations.
The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was headed by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli.
The Council will discuss 27 items dealing with various issues of the joint Arab environmental action under the theme "Environmental Governance".
The agenda of the Council includes the implementation of environmental aspects in the goals of sustainable development and the implementation of the resolutions of Arab summits of economic and social development relating to environment, the Arab Strategy for Natural Disaster Risk Reduction; and preparation for Arab participation in the next session of the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi .
