(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 19 October: Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in third match of the five-match ODI series by seven wickets in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday and won the series 3-0.
Sri Lanka after deciding to bat first were all out on 208 runs in 49th over. Captain Tharanga was top scorer with 61 runs. Hassan Ali was the pick of Pakistani bowlers who got five wickets. He became fastest Pakistan bowler to get 50 wickets in ODIs.
Pakistan surpassed the target with the loss of three wickets in 43rd over. Debutant Imamul Haq, nephew of Inzamamul Haq, scored 100 runs and played important role in the team's victory. He was declared player of the match.
The next match of the series will be played tomorrow (Friday).
