(MENAFN)After years of delivering a lawsuit objecting Samsung merge for two of its units, finally the court has dismissed the case supporting Lee Jae-yong.
The court views the inheritance as an invalid purpose of any kind of unification that is why it gave permission to the merger of the unit.
Lee, the heir of the Yong family was sentenced to five years in jail in August, after bribing then-President Park Geun-hye to support his side in merging Samsung C&T Corp. and Cheil Industries Inc.
Worth mentioning that the merger helps restructuring of the ownership for a better management, the court confirmed.
