Somerset Panorama Muscat marks Omani Women's Day


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- In celebration of Omani Women's Day, Somerset Panorama Muscat will host a special event, which will be opened by Rahma al Mashrafi and will welcome guests with traditional kahwa and dates upon arrival.

Included in the event will be Omani ladies displaying a range of traditional handicrafts as well as beautifully hand-made art pieces by women artists. This includes handicrafts from Sidab women as well as Banat Oman, a branch of Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) that trains Omani women.

Safiya al Bahlani, a handicapped artist and motivational speaker who found her reason and voice through the medium of art, will showcase her talents through her digital artworks.

There will also be two dedicated sections with live art and mosaic painting sessions and demonstrations, illustrating unique techniques for fusion glass art. Adeela Ahmed Sultan will display Omani decorative handicraft techniques; Sharifa Maruby will show the creative production of fusion glass.

The event takes place from 9am to 3pm from October 17 to 18, and is free of charge for all guests.
