Turkish jets target PKK's hideouts N. Iraq


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- The Turkish army said on Monday that its warplanes destroyed sites, weapons stores and hideouts belonging to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.

آ آ آ Turkey's General Staff said in a statement today that the air strikes targeted the organization's camps in the Zab region, which comes after monitoring movements of terrorist groups in the region that were planning an attack on checkpoints of the Turkish forces on the border areas with Iraq.
