Amman, Oct. 15 (Petra)--Jordan condemned on Sunday the bombings that occurred in the Somali capital Mogadishu killing and injuring hundreds of innocent civilians.

State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani described the blasts as a terror act that contravenes all ethical and humanitarian values.

Momani, who is also the government spokesperson, voiced condemnation of the Jordanian government and people of the heinous crime, and affirmed Jordan's support to the Somali government in countering terror organizations, sedition and extremism.

He also urged the international community to support the Somali government in its efforts to address blind terrorism that targets innocent people.

Momani offered condolences to the Somali government and the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
