(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 15 (Petra) - Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman al-Safadi on Sunday received a telephone call from Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, during which they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian issue, especially efforts to achieve Palestinian reconciliation.
The two ministers emphasized the importance of a recent Palestinian reconciliation agreement as a first and important step towards ending the division and strengthening Palestinian national unity, thus contributing to setting the ground for the resumption of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
Safadi stressed Jordan's support for Egypt's efforts and role to achieve Palestinian reconciliation.
