Kuwait- Ethiopian maid's suicide bid foiled

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: An Ethiopian housemaid tried to commit suicide by banging her head on the wall in the house of her sponsor in Sulaibikhat. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Unit in the Ministry of Interior received information about the suicide attempt. Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics took the housemaid, who was bleeding profusely as she banged her head on the wall several times, to Sabah Hospital. During interrogation, the housemaid disclosed she received news on her mother's death so she thought of ending her own life. When the investigators asked the sponsor, the latter said the housemaid did not exhibit any symptom of psychological illness. A case was registered and the necessary legal measures were taken.
