Kuwait- 'Expat, Bedoun female teachers need to visit HRD to update data'

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: The Administrative Affairs Department at the Ministry of Education has warned expatriate and Bedoun female teachers that their housing/ rent allowance will be suspended if they do not submit the required documents and visit the Human Resources Department to update their data, reports Al-Anba daily. Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Fahd Al-Ghais said in a letter addressed to educational districts, Religious Education Department and technical supervisors that the expatriate and Bedoun female teachers must visit the Human Resources Department to update their data in order to continue receiving housing/ rent allowance. He stressed that the Administrative Affairs Department will not bear any responsibility towards teachers who do not submit the required documents and update their data before Nov 30, 2017. He enumerated the required documents for married expatriate and Bedoun teachers as follows:

■ Form number one with the telephone number to contact the teachers,

■ The declaration,

■ Document for changing marital status issued by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) that proves the teacher changed her status from being single to married,

■ Copy of the marriage certificate (whether the marriage is with a Kuwaiti or another nationality),

■ Copies of the identification cards of the wife and husband,

■ Document issued by the Public Services Section in the Housing Department to prove that the teacher no longer lives in the hostel of the Ministry of Education (requirement for expatriate female teachers only),

■ Copy of rent contract with the address stated in the civil ID,

■ 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate and a statement showing the job status and financial situation issued by the husband's employer (public, private and joint sectors). The statement should include information on whether the husband is receiving rent allowance or not.

Meanwhile, divorcees and widows must submit the following:

■ Form number one with the telephone number for contacting the teachers,

■ The declaration;

■ Document for changing marital status issued by the CSC that proves the teacher changed her status to divorcee or widow,

■ Copy of the death certificate of the husband for widows and divorce certificate for divorcees,

■ Copy of the teacher's civil ID,

■ Document issued by the Public Services Section in the Housing Department to prove that the teacher no longer lives in the hostel of the Ministry of Education (requirement for expatriate female teachers only),

■ Certificate that the teacher is not married issued by the relevant authority in her country of origin,

■ Copy of rent contract with the address stated in the civil ID.

Following are the documents required for unmarried teachers:

■ Form number one with the telephone number for contacting the teachers,

■ The declaration,

■ Copy of rent contract with the address stated in the civil ID.

■ Copy of the teacher's civil ID,

■ In case the rent contract is signed by the father, brother, etc; copy of the signatory's civil ID,

■ Document issued by the Public Services Section in the Housing Department to prove that the teacher no longer lives in the hostel of the Ministry of Education (requirement for expatriate female teachers only),

■ Certificate issued by the relevant authority in the country of origin prove the teacher is single or unmarried,

■ 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate issued by the employer (public, private and joint sectors) of the father, brother, etc who signed the rent contract. The certificate should include information on whether the signatory is receiving rent allowance or not.
