UAE announces absolute support for U.S. new strategy towards Iran

Abu-Dbabi, Muharram 23, 1439, October 13, 2017, SPA -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced absolute support for the strategy U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced to deal with Iranian policies undermining security and stability.
In a statement, the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation of the UAE said today that the Iranian regime is seeking through such policies to spread chaos and destabilization of the region.
The nuclear agreement gave Iran an opportunity to rectify its policies and deal with responsibility towards the world community but the Iranian government has used this arrangement to enhance its expansionist and irresponsible policies, the statement added.
It affirmed that the new U.S. strategy has taken the necessary measures to confront the passive Iranian behavior which is unacceptable at all, including its missile program which poses a real danger on the security and stability of the region as well as its support for terror organizations e.g. Hezbollah and the Houthis, its adoption of cyber-attacks, interference in the internal affairs of the its neighbors and threat to the international navigation's free movement.
It confirmed that the U.S. treasury classification of the Iranian guard comes as a strong indication that would contribute to putting an end to the Iranian dangerous activities and official support for terrorism.
In conclusion, the ministry expressed welcome of the UAE and its support for the new U.S. strategy. The UAE confirmed its commitment to work with the United States and all allies to steadfast the Iranian policies and activities which undermine stability and support extremism in the region and the world.
