Advisory Council to participate in IPU assembly

The Advisory Council will take part in the 137th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg with a delegation led by H E Advisory Council Deputy Speaker Issa bin Rabia Al Kuwari.
The assembly, which starts today, and lasts for five days, will discuss a number of issues, including the promotion of multiculturalism, peace through inter-faith and inter-ethnic dialogue, cooperation with the United Nations system, and will also elect an IPU president for the next three years.
The delegation comprises a number of Advisory Council members and HE Secretary General Fahad bin Mubarak Al Khayareen.
