Bedaya hosts hospitality specialists

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Centre), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and Silatech, recently held its fourth Mehna Cafe (career cafe) meet.
The latest career cafe meet was graced by Esraa al-Jofeirri, the founding partner of Al Manjab Restaurant and Saleh al-Alyan, the founding partner of Sugar and Spice Restaurant.
During the event, both resource speakers spoke about their experience in establishing private business and how to explore avenues to ensure the success of their ventures.
They said this can be achieved when equipped with the proper tools, knowledge, continuous training, guidance, and support, as well as by interacting and sharing knowledge with industry peers, which can help develop and enhance their projects.
Al-Jofeirri and al-Alyan also shed light on the food and beverage sector (F & B). Both highlighted the importance of enhancing their projects and transforming them into special trademarks in the local market.
The guest entrepreneurs said the key to making a brand successful lies in the ability to offer quality products and promote it using the latest tools and take advantage of social-media platforms, which, in turn, will reflect positively on the hospitality sector, in general and the F & B industry, in particular.
They also underlined the importance of adopting best practices to develop the industry from a vocational and professional aspect, and highlighted the existence of many modern methods that can improve this sector.
They noted that there are several existing opportunities already available, including specialised courses that are related to managing hospitality projects.
During the knowledge sharing session, the two speakers also discussed several mechanisms and practices that would help in upgrading projects and make them successful and famous trademarks.
Bedaya Centre general manager Reem al-Suwaidi said: 'We always strive to support our youth by providing them with the proper tools to develop their skills and knowledge, which will reflect positively on their ideas and future projects through monthly meetings with experts in various sectors with the aim to help them refine and develop their existing projects, expand them, and launch them towards the best.
