(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Teachers and students stand to benefit from Qatar Museums' (QM) specially designed guided tours and workshops for its two most recently launched landmark exhibitions, it was announced.
The programme forms part of of QM‘s commitment to develop a generation of creative, compassionate and engaged individuals.
'These two exhibitions are buttressed by a rich educational programme that is focused on school children, QM's education director Dr Jelena Trkulja said, as she urged teachers across Qatar to visit QM's website, which lists all available school tours and workshops.
She noted that teachers of various subjects will find something pertinent to their curriculum, which can be adjusted to the age group they are teaching.
With each exhibition, QM offers new content and learning materials that can be used in the classrooms, 'enriching the learning experience and broadening the students' horizons.
The guided tours and workshops coincide with two exhibitions - Driven by German Design and German Encounters Contemporary Masterworks from the Deutsche Bank Collection that just opened as part of the Qatar Germany 2017 Year of Culture initiative.
'Workshops as an art education and art appreciation programme are supporting the exhibitions and will motivate the young to discover their own skills in the arts and design, Goethe-Institut for Qatar Germany 2017 project manager Maya Röder said.
During the visits, QM educators will greet students and teachers and take them on a tour of each exhibition, explaining their various aspects in a manner geared to each age group.
The tours are an interactive opportunity designed to create lasting memories in students across the country, according to QM.
