Islamabad, Muharram 21, 1439, October 11, 2017, SPA -- The Pakistani capital Islamabad today witnessed a protest rally in which activists, lawyers, intellectuals, the general public of Pakistan and members of the Yemeni community living in Pakistan condemned the misinformation about children and armed conflict in Yemen.
Participants in the stand held in front of the National Press Club in Islamabad described the report as misguided, lacks credibility and far from what was happening on the ground. They sent a letter to the United Nations representative in Pakistan to correct the report in order to keep pace with facts rather than relying on unilateral sources an ignoring data submitted by the legitimate government of Yemen.
Dr. Mujahid Jilani, president of the Medical Association in Islamabad, said, "The misleading report ignored the heinous crimes committed by the Houthis against civilians in Yemen and selectively focuses on criticizing the Arab Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen through biased sources away from what is happening on the ground.
He added that the whole world knows the humanitarian positions that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands with the Islamic peoples, especially the Yemeni people to support them against terrorism and the massacres committed by the coup militias.
For his part, the Yemeni activist based in Islamabad Abdul Rahman Salhi denounced what was included in the report, stressing that the militia coup when they entered the Yemeni cities killed children and social security broke, and sought to overthrow the legitimate government in Yemen, blaming the coupists for the chaos and the tragic situation experienced by the people of Yemen as a result of the brutal and criminal practices by the militias of Houthi and the ousted Saleh.
