The Center for the Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ihsan) celebrated the winners of the Parents' Competition in the fourth edition of this year's competition in Holy Quran.
The winners of the competition in all its branches this season, 12 men and 22 women, came out of 165 contestants, of whom 130 were women, which confirms the interest of older women to participate actively in competitions to acquire skills and abilities necessary for memorization, recitation and interpretation of Quran. Ihsan Executive-Director, Mubarak bin Abdul Aziz Al Khalifa, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the participants in this competition and their keenness to interact with the center's programs.
Al Khalifa further stressed the commitment of Ihsan to continue organizing such events that benefit the elderly and gain skills and the abilities required to recite, memorize, and master of memorization, recitation and interpretation of Quran.
Al Khalifa pointed out that it is one of the highest and most important deeds to memorize and recite Quran, which is one of the constants and pillars on which the center works around.
Ihasn chief also stated that the most important priorities of the center are to provide the elderly with the necessary life skills and to increase their knowledge of their religion, organized by the center and concerned with all fields.
The contest included three branches in the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran, memorizing Quran in full, memorizing the twenty-eighth chapter, and recitation from any parts of Holy Quran.
