IMF increases global growth


(MENAFN) The International Monetary Fund increased its global growth estimation for the current and the next year as a result of a broad-based recovery in the US, Europe, China and Japan.

In its recent World Economic Outlook, the IMF prediction that the international economy will grow by 3.6% in 2017 and 3.7% next year.

Although short-term international growth "could increase further" due to stronger confidence and encouraging market conditions, the IMF have warned of the threats facing the international economy over the medium term, including constant low inflation in highly developed economies, financial steadiness risks in rising markets, geopolitical tensions and protectionist pressures.
