AMMAN —AlGhad— The Centre for Defending Freedom of Journalists (CDFJ) condemned the assault of three Journalists by a number masked personnel in Ramtha, as the reporters were covering the protests which broke out over the weekend. The Centre demanded, in a statement today, Monday, that the authorities launch an investigation to uncover the identities of the assailants and bring them to justice.
A video circulating the internet over the weekend showed a number of masked personnel assaulting the journalists.
Eye witnesses claim a number of personnel with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), who were masked while partaking in the suppression of protests, assaulted the journalists.
