(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar's Julio Donascimento and Ahmed Tijan emerged champions at the AVC Beach Volleyball Tour Grand Front Osaka Open. In the final, they duo defeated Gilang Ramadan and Danangsyah Pribadi 21-15, 21-19. The Indonesians had beaten Qatar's other pair Jefferson Pereira/Cherif Younousse in the semifinals, but they were thoroughly outplayed by Julio and Tijan.
Pereira and Younousse lost in the bronze medal play-off going down to another Indonesian pair Ade Candra Rachmawan and Mohammad Asfiya 21-17,14-21,15-9. Julio and Tijan had defeated Rachmawan/ Asfiya 21-14, 21-17 in the semi-final.
