'The Philippine Trade and Tourism Conference is the expanded version of the Philippine Property & Investment Show Qatar which we started in 2015. Our main objective is to share to Filipinos alternative forms of income so that they can earn while they are still here in Qatar and when they're back in the Philippines for good, said Afreeq Chairman Joseph Timothy Rivera.

Speaking at a press briefing yesterday at Shangri-La Hotel Doha, Rivera said the event will highlight investment opportunities from properties, agri-business, eco-tourism, stocks, bonds, and networking, among others.
Around 25 companies have already confirmed participation at the event to be held on October 20 at Shangri-La Hotel Doha.

The conference will feature guest speakers from the Philippines including Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary Atty. Ruth Castelo of the DTl's Ease of Doing Business Group, Ateneo Center for Economic Research & Development Director Dr. Alvin Ang, and DV Boer CEO Dexter Villamin.

StarNet International Marketing Director & Showbiz Celebrity entrepreneur Isabel Granada will render live performances during the event as well as deliver a talk on modern multi-level marketing.

There will also be Doha-based professionals who will lecture at the event inkling Atty. Daisy Tingson of Pinoywise and Bernard Anduyon of OFIE-M who will speak on financial literacy.
