Palestinians show their folklore in Kuwait's DAI
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyya (DAI) held a Palestinian musical as part of its 23rd Cultural Season, aimed at highlighting Palestinian tradition and folklore.
The musical, held at DAI's Yarmouk headquarters, featured singer Mohammad Hayel and Al-Aryaf band who performed traditional songs and dances.
Osama Al-Balhan, director of media programs and public relations at DAI, said DAI sought to spread cultures of people through the folklore.
Speaking to KUNA, Al-Balhan said the Palestinian song was cheerful in nature.
Laila Hamdan, the musical coordinator, said Kuwait was a host to different cultures including the Palestinian.
Sabah Al-Rayyes, director of musicals at DAI, said the 23rd Cultural Season included more than 500 events including seminars, lectures, workshops and movie nights. (end) shd.bs
