Qatar- Pakistan International School marks Pakistan Defence Day
Pakistan International School in Doha yesterday marked the Pakistan Defence Day to commemorate the precious sacrifices made by the Pakistanis defending their country.
The celebration marked under the theme 'Stand United to Support Peace, was attended by many Pakistan community members in Doha.
The celebration programme started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a poem praising the martyrs of the nation. A discussion was held on Pakistan's capability to defence its land, sea and air and the role of civilians in that, as well the role of Pakistan in bringing peace to the region and the world.
Irfan Taj, the military attache at the Pakistani Embassy in Doha, highlighted in his speech the importance of learning lessons from the history to make our lives better. Taj praised the extraordinary courage shown by Pakistani soldiers to the internal and external threats and their success in confronting them.
