2,000 mining licenses to be issued by Saudi Arabia
(MENAFN) A number of 2,000 mining license worth USD66 billion were issued by Saudi Arabia to biggest private sector players in the country, according to the Kingdom's energy minister.
Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Falih stated, "The number of licenses granted by the ministry to the private sector is approximately 2,000 covering about 70,000 sq km area".
Al Falih was speaking at a meeting in Moscow with Sergey Donskoy, the Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
