(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al-Gannas Qatari Society has said preparations are underway for the fourth edition of the pre-hunting season falcon championship, set to be held from November 1 to 4.
The championship is part of the Society's efforts to prepare falconers for the next hunting season, it has said in a press statement.
Registration will be open for all Qatari falconers from October 23 until 25, from 6pm to 9pm, at the headquarters of the society located in Katara the Cultural Village Foundation, Building 33.
Khalid bin Saeed al-Sulaiti, president of the championship, said there are attractive prizes for the participants. The first-place winner will get QR35,000, the second-place winner QR25,000 and the third-place winner QR15,000.
The prize money for those finishing fourth and fifth is QR5,000 each.
