(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra)-- Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation on Saturday organized a ceremony to honor intellect and politician Dr. Khaled Al Karaki that was attended by Jordanian and Arab academics, writers and intellectuals.
In remarks during the ceremony, which included a series of sessions, the CEO of the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, Valentina Kassisieh, noted that Khaled Al-Karaki was a creative, cultural and political leader.
In the session (Karki in literature and language) that was moderated by Dr. Amin Mahmoud, Dr. Nihad Al-Mousa talked about Khaled Al-Karaki, who is known for his creativity and his efforts in the service of the Arabic language.
The second session that was moderated by the historian Ali Muhafzah, focused on the contribution of Al-Karaki to the study of modern Arabic poetry.
Dr. Hikmat Al-Nawaysa also spoke about Karak's image in the cultural and political works of Karaki.
Another session that was moderated by former Minister of Culture Jeryis Samawi, focused on testimonials by Jordanian and Arab writers and intellectuals on the personality of the Karaki.
Lebanese poet Shawqi Bazia spoke about the personality of Khalid Karaki and points related to the identity, friendship and concerns of the homeland.
Dr. Mohammed Naji Amayreh highlighted the experience of Al Karaki ministerial work at the beginning of the democratic process and his role in the cultural development through his position as Minister of Culture.
Dr. Asfour gave a briefing on the academic work of Al Karaki, starting at the university after which he focused on politics.
Writer Ali al-Fazza reviewed in a session that was moderate by intellectual Ibrahim Badran, Karaki's work at the Royal Court and his efforts to select young and competent people known for their loyalty in order to achieve justice and equality.
