Israeli military injures 5 Palestinians in protests to lift blockade
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- Five Palestinians were injured on Friday in clashes with the Israeli occupying force during demonstrations to lift the siege off the Gaza Strip.
Ashraf Al-Qedra, the spokesperson for Palestinian ministry of Health, said that during protests in the city of Jabalia, northeastern of Gaza, the Israeli military opened fire on protesters and injured four citizens.
He added that during another protest in braig camp in Gaza, a 17-year-old Palestinian was also injured when shot by the Israeli soldiers.
Al-Qedra indicated that the medical crew transported the injured to the hospital to receive the needed treatment. Weekly protests are being organized by young groups of people in a number of areas in Gaza, to express their refusal of the eleven-year blockade and to end the Israeli occupation to the Palestinian land.
