Turkish PM to visit Iraq

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim received an official invitation from Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to visit Baghdad, the Turkish media cited the country's prime minister as saying Oct. 6.
Yildirim added that the date of his visit to Iraq is currently being coordinated.
'Ankara is interested in developing relations with Baghdad, especially after holding an independence referendum in the Kurdish autonomy of Iraq,' he said.
On Sept. 25, the Kurdish autonomy of Iraq held an 'independence referendum' which is not recognized by the international community.
