(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) IRBIL, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- Former Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's remains arrived at Sulaimaniya on Friday coming from Berlin, Germany, where he passed way at the age of 84.
Top officials from the Iraqi government and parties as well as representatives from foreign and Arab countries are participating in the burial.
Talabani who, was born in 1933, passed away in Germany last Tuesday after suffering a long illness.
Iraq on Wednesday announced three days of national mourning over the death of former president.
Talabani served as Iraq president from 2005 until 2014. He reportedly died in Berlin after being hospitalized due to failing health. (end) sbr.nhq
