Jordan- 2 fatalities, 118 injured in various accidents


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 6 (Petra) -- Civil Defence Department (CDD) rescue and fire-fighting crews tackled 139 accidents that occurred across the Kingdom in the last 24 hours, in which 2 people died and 118 others injured, the department said Friday.

It said in a statement that a 35-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Yadoudeh, south of Amman. Another man aged 42 years old died of severe wounds he sustained in a car crash in the Mafraq governorate.

The statement said CDD teams also dealt with 556 various medical emergencies.
