Indian School Seeb celebrates Gandhi Jayanti


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Indian School Seeb celebrated the 148th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with great enthusiasm and fervour. All the sections of class XI were present in the morning assembly which was decorated with Gandhi's quotes and cut-outs.

The students aimed to motivate all to follow the ideals of ahimsa and cleanliness in the vicinity. The programme commenced with a prayer song by the school choir group, followed by a welcome address by Riya Reji of class XI. A speech on ideologies of Gandhiji and the relevance of Gandhiji's philosophy in the modern world was presented by Aarathy Jayaraj and Candice of class XI.

A tableau depicting the importance of Gandhi's philosophy of truth, non-violence and the importance of charkha was presented by the students of class XI which was highly appreciated by all the students. Shiney Roy, vice principal, began her message by quoting Gandhi 'You must be the change you wish to see in the world' and went on to propagate Gandhiji's ideals about 'Swachh Bharat'. She asked the students to make a small beginning in their classroom, school, etc. She insisted that each child should make an attempt to contribute to the society in their small way.
