Mexico: rescue attempts are over
(MENAFN) Mexico City called off yesterday the search for survivors in constructions that's been destroyed by the earthquake on the 19th of Sep, after finding the last body in an office building.
It was the only building of 38 that fell down in Mexico, where rescue attempts were still continuing.
City Mayor, Miguel Angel Mancera said that there were 228 deaths, with a whole 369 nationally.
Mexico City will now center the attention on eliminating the ruins of the destroyed buildings and avoid additional collapse.
