Six police personnel of east Delhi's Vivek Vihar police station, have found themselves in trouble after photos emerged that they had accorded a special welcome to self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa.

Radhe Maa was seen seated on the chair of station house officer (SHO) Sanjay Sharma, who was seen with smiling with folded hands and a 'chunri' round his neck.

SHO Sharma told Hindustan Times that Radhe Maa was heading to a Ramleela on September 28.

He said her followers told him she wanted to visit a washroom, so he let her use the one in his office.

After using the toilet, she sat on his chair without his permission.

He said he folded his hands and requested her to leave the office.

A police official said SHO Sharma has been relieved of duty and reportedly sent to district lines. "The matter has been taken very seriously and an inquiry at the DCP level initiated," the official added. Further action would be taken based on a 'conduct report.'
