Deal with EASA incivil aviation safety
Qatar has signed a memorandum of understanding with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in civil aviation safety in Cologne, Germany. The MoU was signed by Qatar's Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority HE Abdullah bin Nasser Turki al-Subaey and the EASA's Executive Director Patrick Ky. The deal aims at enhancing co-operation and exchanging experiences in civil aviation safety. Welcoming the signing of the MoU, al-Subaey said he considered it a strong basis for further co-operation with the European Union.

Kuwaiti mediation toresolve crisis continues
Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid al-Jarallah said that Kuwaiti mediation to resolve the Gulf crisis is continuing and that 'we will continue until we reach a happy end to this unfortunate dispute. On the Gulf summit scheduled for next December, al-Jarallah said Kuwait is ready to host it. 'There are no contacts with the leaders of the GCC about convening the summit, but naturally we are ready for it and hope it will convene on time, al-Jarallah added.

Ministry celebratesTeachers' Day
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education celebrated the Teachers' Day praising teachers' efforts, their work and perseverance in the tough and tiring field of education. Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry Fawzia al-Khater said in a press statement expressed appreciation and gratitude to all teachers. Director of Teachers Affairs Department Ahmed Jumaa al-Jusemani said education plays a big role in the foundation of a person and in building human societies, and that must be honoured.
