Egyptians outraged over new mobile recharging cards decision

(MENAFN) Egyptian street is completely outraged over the latest government decision of cutting off 36 percent of the recharging cards balance.

In other words, the government is raising the prices of mobile phone balance recharging cards by 36 percent.

An angry mobile user said "It's completely unfair, that's quite a lot", after receiving about 70 percent credit of the original price paid for the purchased charging card.

This means a recharge card costing 100 Egyptian pounds (USD5.67) will only give 70 Egyptian pounds of credit.

Since the decision saw the light last weekend then, there have been boycott calls on social media against the telecom companies applying the increase.
