Oman- 107 Labour Law violators arrested 58 deported


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Manpower officials in the Governorate of Buraimi apprehended 107 workers for violating provisions of the Labour Law during the month of September. As many as 98 workers were arrested for working without commercial permits.

The other violators arrested were from the private (6) and agricultural sectors (3), stated a press release. Investigations revealed that 76 violators had fled their work locations while 31 were released of their duties.

During the same period, 58 Labour Law violators were also deported. Of these 53 were engaged in commercial works, and 5 of them were agricultural workers. The department had also received complaints of 50 workers who fled their work places during the month of September.
